Techmetals, Inc.

Nickel Plating

Techmetals offers Nickel plating, electroplating and electroless Nickel finishing services, to accommodate a wide variety of customer applications.

Nickel is traditionally used to improve a part’s wear resistance — as well as prevent corrosion, add lubricity and even improve the aesthetic qualities of the part.

Electrolytic plating involves bonding the substrate with the Nickel coating through an induced electric charge. An external DC current is used for deposition of the coating. Oftentimes referred to as electroplating.

Electroless Nickel (EN) plating is a process that uses a chemical reaction to co-deposit it’s Nickel-Phosphorus coating onto a desired substrate.
